About Us

St Paul’s Church forms part of the Anglican Diocese of Mauritius. It dates back to 1864 and has had a long history as a missionary church reaching out to all segments of the population.

We are located at Plaine Verte, Port Louis. Our church is bible-based and spirit-led. We believe in the bible as the supreme authority. We believe that the Holy Spirit was poured out on Pentecost to enable believers to be effective witnesses for Christ. (Acts 1:8)

Our focus this year is ‘One More for Jesus’ (Acts 2:47).

We are a cell church with a congregation of about 800 and 45 cell groups encompassing all age groups from the very young to the elderly.

Yours in Christ,
Venerable Eric Ma Fat
Archdeacon of the Anglican Diocese

Our Vision

The vision of St Paul’s church is ‘Passion for God and Compassion for people’. It is in line with the Diocesan vision of enlarging the space of the tent.

We believe that God has to have priority in our lives and that we should love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul and with all our mind. (Matt.22:37)  in obedience to the great commandment.

Our passion for God will lead us to have compassion for people and to love and care for them. It will demand a commitment to the Great Commission (Go therefore and make disciples of all nations ….Matt.28:19).

Our vision is God-centered and people-focused.
